If the Churches 2000 years ago looked like the one’s we have today, I’m convinced Christianity would have died. We have dead pastors preaching dead sermons to dead congregations. We desperately need the power of the Holy spirit, to bring us back to life, and show us a God who is alive, not a God who is deceased, not a God who is sleeping. If Paul the Apostle spent most of his time every week preparing a sermon, the Church wouldn’t have got very far. We need a praying Church and praying people crying out day and night, with tears and groaning, for the living God to be revealed, and to come in power.
You can be as straight as a gun barrel theologically and as empty as a gun barrel spiritually.
